If we allow Democrats and Republicans to conduct business as usual, America's national debt will grow until America fails. We cannot allow this to happen. This plank was deduced from a breakthrough in science. Like using the correct equation when doing math, applying a new understanding of human nature will resolve all of America's social problems. Sending Patriots to Congress will insure politics, big business, political correctness and special interests do not come before America.
We will enforce existing laws or repeal them,…
If a law exists, it will be enforced. Laws Congress cannot or will not enforce will be repealed.
It is immoral to ask citizens to abide by laws and yet allow others to break them. Moreover, not enforcing some laws sends a socially destructive message that “Laws are made to be broken.” Which laws? How come only some laws? Why not all laws?
… advocate gun ownership with training for home defense,…
The issue of preserving the Second Amendment is addressed in Plank #1. The policy of advocating gun ownership with training for home defense has to do with insuring social harmony.
Fearing homeowners may be armed is a deterrent to aggressors and predators who may be contemplating burglary, robbery or home invasion. Moreover, if the dollar collapses, there will be social upheaval, and government will not be able to protect everyone. In a free society, citizens must have the right to protect themselves from those who would cause them harm.
…substitute education for recreation in prison,…
Wayward citizens tempted to commit a crime are not discouraged from doing so if they believe being caught will improve their present situation. After all, in prison, they don't have to get up early, get dressed, work all day, shop for food, prepare their meals, do dishes, pay bills, wash cloths, do yard work and clean the house. Although confined, they will be able to hang in the courtyard, lift weights, play basketball and video games, watch television, read books and magazines, and listen to the radio.
According to “Gravity Theory,” eliminating enjoyment from prison will reduce the incidence of crime because the perceived level of discomfort associated with prison will be raised.
There should be no enjoyment or recreation in prison. Instead, education and rehabilitation should be the agenda.
Note: An ancillary benefit of removing enjoyment from prison (increasing the perceived level of discomfort) will be shortened sentences for prisoners who have committed a non-violent crime.
…revoke the citizenship of repeat offenders,…
Besides being unfair to citizens, it is immoral for government to guess and hope perpetrators of violent crimes will not prey on yet another innocent victim. Because the perpetrator has already been guilty of a violent crime, the benefit of the doubt should be given to society and its potential victims. In short, we do not obligated to appease or even accommodate the predator.
Note: Judges, administrators and crusaders who advocate second chances to proven violent offenders should volunteer to live among them. If they were herding sheep, would they willingly place a wolf among them.
Anyone who has proven to habitually plot and commit violent crimes should be prevented from harming anyone ever again. The specifics of a solution become evident when we revisit the idea of citizenship.
As established in Plank #8, everyone in America is born a first-class citizen regardless of ethnicity, bloodline, economic status, and so on. However, if citizens are convicted of a violent crime, they forfeit their first-class status and become third-class citizens. As third-class citizens, they lose their freedom, the right to own firearms, and the right to vote (among other things).
What should we do about criminals who are repeat violent offenders? Should we still regard them as third-class citizens. At what point should they be regarded as enemies of America and civilization? Who among us will stand up and proclaim repeat offenders should be released back into society to rob, rape, maim and kill again?
Note: Every line on a “rap sheet” is associated with one or more victims.
Citizenship is a privilege, and those who abuse their citizenship should lose it. At some point, enough should be enough. When the victim list reaches a certain point, a third-class citizen should be downgraded to fourth-class. A fourth-class citizen in America would be a citizen who has forfeited his citizenship.
Fourth-class citizens should be turned over to the military. After all, they are proven terrorists. As such, they are enemies of America and civilization. As fourth-class citizens, they would never again be released back into society.
Note: Multiple levels of civilian oversight answers any concern of mistreatment of prisoners by the military. After all, every human being should be treated with dignity.
Making repeat offenders fourth-class citizens solves several problems.
No more innocent victims by the same offenders.
Reduction in the civilian prison population.
More space in civilian prisons.
Save tax-dollars because desert camps will cost less.
Note: Our military troops serve oversees in tents with minimum facilities and amenities. Fourth-class citizens (those who have lost their citizenship) should not only be expected to experience equal conditions, it should be mandatory they do. Locating military prison camps in deserts far from civilization will meet the needs for low cost housing and ample space.
The promise of stark and uncomfortable surroundings will serve as a deterrent to crime.
Note: Maybe you or a loved one will be spared a nightmare that never ends.
…decriminalize the private use of marijuana,…
We will discourage the use of illegal drugs.
We will send regularly the message in multiple forms and the various media that partaking in drugs for purposes of recreation is for losers. That said, we must decriminalize marijuana for personal use for several reasons.
Laws against growing marijuana for personal use are immoral on their face.
America is “the land of the free.” So then, how can we punish someone for growing a plant in their backyard?
Laws against growing marijuana for personal use are unenforceable.
How are we to enforced laws against doing something in one's backyard? Are we to fly drones over every neighborhood? Are we to have some citizens spy on their neighbors for a cash reward? Is that the way to promote social harmony?
Laws against growing marijuana would undermine other laws.
If we don't enforce the laws against marijuana by way of drones and spies, we would in effect be allowing some citizens to break the law. Is that the way to promote the ideals that citizens are treated fairly and citizens should follow America's secular moral code of justice?
Decriminalizing the growing of marijuana for personal use will create citizen trust and national loyalty.
A third of Americans use marijuana at least occasionally. This means a third of walk around thinking they are criminals and, technically, they are. Is this the way to promote national loyalty and love of country? Imagine how the third of Americans (that are regarded as criminals today) will feel the day they are deemed “law-abiding.”
Making the growing and consumption of marijuana within one's domain illegal is an example of a law we cannot or will not enforce. Therefore, it must be repealed. In short, we will decriminalize marijuana for personal use.
Did we learn nothing from prohibition?
Just like alcohol, marijuana would be regulated.
Note: This is the difference between being “decriminalized” as opposed to being “legalized.”
As such, growing marijuana for purposes of distribution would be illegal. Likewise, selling marijuana to children and driving under the influence would carry heavy penalties. Moreover, companies would be allowed to make hiring and firing decisions accordingly. After all, America is a free country that honors personal freedom AND free enterprise.
…and petition leaders and celebrities to behave responsibly.
Celebrities who become addicted to drugs and then become clean and sober after being forced into treatment are applauded. Instead, they should be admonished by society for breaking the law, jeopardizing their health, putting their family and friends through hell, and especially for setting a bad example for our youth. Yes, we should be happy for their recovery and rehabilitation, but we must not forget they have done great harm to society.
Note: Unlike the privileges enjoyed by celebrities, regular citizens typically do not have the resources to make similar mistakes.
We will advocate that those in a position of authority and those who are celebrated by the citizenry should be mindful of the influence they have on others. The benefits of celebrity are many, but they come at a cost. Like it or not, the words, decisions and behavior of public figures are influential.
No leader or celebrity should be forced to lead an exemplary lifestyle free of drugs, alcohol abuse, promiscuity, and anti-American rhetoric. However, those who are indifferent to the effects they have on society and America should be viewed as negligent and self-indulgent, akin to the mindset of a pirate.Like the saying goes: “You're a Patriot or Pirate… Choose!”
We will encourage celebrities to recognize and embrace their influential position in society so they work to set a good example as a role model for their fans and the public.
