Dispell False Premises
If we are to fortify and preserve America for our children and their descendants, we will have to win several debates. In doing so, we will dispel five false assumptions that have been perpetrated on the American public.
False ideas have always hindered progress. Our ancient ancestors were severely limited by thoughts of falling off the earth, flying dragons, and blood-thirsty gods. Today, several myths are similarly debilitating. In fact, five identifiable myths are wholly responsible for the cracks in America's foundation.
Just as the ancients were better off without their false beliefs, today's myths must be dispelled as well. The prevailing myths are:
Humankind is intrinsically elevated above all the other species on this planet. Whereas the animals are "animalistic" in their essence, human beings are born elevated. As if we were riding on a spring, human beings are predisposed to rise up and perform admirably. This is Spring Theory.
A tarnished history, the harshness of capitalism, bigotry, poverty, and other social inequities are the reasons why people are not "springing up."
A citizen can be loyal to America and the world simultaneously.
With few exceptions, members of the media are generally unbiased observers reporting the facts.
With few exceptions, teachers are generally evenhanded in their view of America's performance past and present.
Just as our ancestors believed that sacrificing their firstborn child would appease the gods, these five myths are equally false and equally destructive. Correcting them will result in the following benefits.

Gravity Theory will replace Spring Theory as the accepted model in explaining the nature of human beings. This is essential if we are to transform the epidemic of national dependency into individual self-reliance.
American history will be fairly represented, putting the onus of poor performance where it belongs — squarely on the shoulders of the individual.
This is essential if we are to ease the disdain citizens of minority groups have for America, encouraging every citizen to pursue the American Dream.
Citizens will have to choose their first loyalty. In doing so, they will become more inclined to make decisions that empower America. As we say, "You're a Patriot or a Pirate... Choose!"
Rather than continue to undermine our nation, the media will lead the charge in educating the citizenry, chastising those that are misguided, and encouraging citizens to be proud and united.
Rather than continue to undermine our nation, teachers will begin to instill pride in America in our children.
We have relied on the analogy of "cracks in the foundation" to represent America's social problems. This analogy has been effective because a country is constructed much like a high-rise building. Just as in repairing cracks in the foundation of a building, we must repair all the cracks in America's foundation if we are to fortify and preserve America. Moreover, we must repair them simultaneously.
If we overlook some "cracks" because we are too afraid, too timid, too self-interested, or too concerned about hurting someone's feelings, we might as well enjoy the ride until we run off the cliff. Just like a bucket with many holes or a chain with multiple broken links, we must repair all the cracks in America's foundation for our nation to work. Just one hole will empty the bucket; just one bad link will cause the chain will fail.
We are at a crossroads, and a most important decision confronts us. We will continue to be gentle, selfish, and politically correct for fear of offending citizens that do not care about the future of America, or we will be brave and put America first regardless of who might be offended or inconvenienced. This decision will be made (and will become evident) within the next 10 years as we negotiate the third and final transition in America's history. Only time will tell which path we will choose.
If given the opportunity, the Patriot Party promises to do what is necessary to fortify and preserve America.
