Although the following policy measures are strongly recommended, it is the job of Congress to work out the details regarding their implementation. Sending Patriots
to Congress will insure that special interests will not come before America.
We will perform as a republic.
We will perform as a quiet, smooth, and efficient republic not a noisy, sniping, divided and inconsistent democracy. The rules differentiating a republic from a democracy are as different as baseball is to football. Both games are arguably beautiful. Yet, if we mix the rules, the games fall apart. (What would happen to the integrity of football if we started throwing balls and strikes on the 50-yard line?)
We must discourage protesting in the streets. Though certainly legal to do so in a free society, public protest is appropriate only in a democracy where the majority makes the rules.
To protest publicly outside the election cycle is un-American because representatives in a republic are to operate independent of the will of the majority. In a republic, protest is pointless because the majority has no power. As such, protest only serves to project an image of division, causing other nations to have disdain for America for not performing as the world's dominant nation.
Citizens extorting concessions from their representatives through intimidation, vitriolic speech, and the recitation of falsehoods will be viewed as un-American.
We will demand Congress conduct business in accordance with a republic.
We will insist members of Congress honor decisions made in their respective chambers. Taking lost debates "to the street" will be identified as pro-democracy, and therefore anti-America.
Representatives should rebuke the president only on the House and Senate floors.
We will position America as the rightful leader of the free world.
To project the image of a strong leader, America must project the image of a united republic. As such, we must discourage the use of vitriolic speech and the activity of protesting in the streets. (These behaviors are typical of a fledgling democracy, not a dominant nation.)
We will place conditions on foreign aid beyond emergency relief. Generosity overseas will be limited to preventing the loss of life and limb. All other international aid will be conditional, with some visible advantage coming to America. A policy requiring respect and obligation will insure that nations hold America in high regard (as opposed to being taken for granted as the world's nurturer or soft-hearted "sugar daddy."
We will embrace our heritage.
We will not let America's history be rewritten to appease those who are offended or intimidated by truth.
America was founded on a strong moral foundation. The founders believed in a loving God, and they generally conducted themselves accordingly (unlike other nations who regularly butcher their neighbors, even today).
We will advocate that, though citizens are free to choose their faith and even profess atheism, America as a country puts its trust in a moral God. Because we are commanded by a higher power to "love thy neighbor," America poses no threat to the world, despite our enormous military might.
We will abondon barbaric policies and practices.
We will end the need for execution by instituting a different kind of "death sentence." Instead of physical death, we will advocate the sentence of "walking death," in which convicted murders and perpetrators of other heinous crimes are deprived of any form of pleasure (to include hot food, coffee, music, salt, candy, and so on).
Note: The words embryo, fetus, infant, toddler, adulescent, and adult are used to differentiate the development of human beings. For the sake of clarity when discussin the issue of abortion, we will use the term "baby" to represent a fetus that can be sustained outside of the womb.
In order to protect a woman's right to choose who should father her children and be her offspring's extended family, we will advocate that abortion be legal during the first several months of gestation when the fetus is dependent on its mother for sustenance. However, when the fetus becomes a "baby," the right to life of the "baby" will be defended, and abortion beyond that point will become illegal.
America (government) must cease to fund abortions. Instead, we will ask advocates of abortion to provide the needed funding.
Note: If someone's reputation is to be sullied (from raising funds to pay for abortions), it should not be that of America.
