The following "plank" in the platform is not an empty feel-good statement. It is a promise founded on (a) a new understanding of human nature and (b) an unwavering commitment to
restore, fortify and preserve America. Naturally, it is based on one very big assumption — that Patriots gain control of Congress. Although we guarantee results, you must vote for Patriots to turn aspirations into reality.
Although the following policy measures are strongly recommended, it is the job of Congress to work out the details regarding their implementation. Sending Patriots
to Congress will insure that special interests will not come before America.
Suggested policy measures...
We will promote a positive view of America in public schools.
We will be sure public schools teach at least one course featuring a positive "pro-America" interpretation of American history, political science, civics, and government theory.
Note: Until history books lose their anti-American bias and become pro-America, we will advocate the book A More Perfect Union be included in the public high school curriculum. (See the "Supplies" link.)
As a condition of employment, we will require teachers to cast America in a positive light, much like regarding a glass of water as half-full rather than half-empty. (Don't corporations expect the same allegiance from their employees?)
As a condition of employment, teachers in public schools will pledge allegiance to America.
Anti-American rhetoric, behavior, or presentations in government funded public schools and universities will not be tolerated.
We will encourage citizens to become self-reliant.
We will transfer the administration of charitable services to churches and other qualified tax-excused groups. Government will recompense providers for services rendered, just as it does service providers of Medicare, Medicaid, and Welfare.
We will retool school breakfast and lunch programs so they encourage parents to do their job of feeding their children. Food stamp allocation will be adjusted for qualifying families to cover the additional cost of home-prepared breakfasts and bagged lunches.
We will increase the perceived value of citizenship.
For new citizens, we will make citizenship conditional, revocable, and something that must be earned.
We will require children to meet performance standards as a condition for confirming their citizenship. The citizenship of children will be confirmed only if they meet certain specific qualifications and conditions: (a) An American high school diploma, (b) history of community service, (c) a valuable skill, (d) means of income, (e) history of self-sufficiency, (f) a felony-free record, and (g) pledging allegiance to America.
We will fix the problems with the tax system.
We will promote a tax plan that features one set of rules for all Americans.
The plan will feature rate reductions that can reduce every family's tax obligation on their first $100,000 of income to just 1% ($1,000).
However, unlike the present system, the rate reduction would be based solely on performance. (It wouldn't be automatic.) More specifically, the discounted tax rate would have to be earned by meeting performance standards such as providing a stable household while raising children (marriage), being self-reliant (free from public support), and demonstrating compliance with social law (no felonies in the immediate family).
Note: A 1% tax rate would indicate a couple is married and raising children without any form of public assistance and there have been no arrests in the family during the calendar year. In other words, a 1% tax rate would indicate that a family has not burdened society with any unnecessary social expenses.
