The following "plank" in the platform is not an empty feel-good statement. It is a promise founded on (a) a new understanding of human nature and (b) an unwavering commitment to restore, fortify and preserve America. Naturally, it is based on one very big assumption — that Patriots gain control of Congress. Although we guarantee results, you must vote for Patriots to turn aspirations into reality.
Prepare the Citizenry
We will teach citizens the correct view of human nature (Gravity Theory), raise the value of education in the minds of students, become the world's leader in academic performance, prepare citizens for personal and national disasters, and teach the obligations of citizenship in a republic.
Suggested policy measures...
Although the following policy measures are strongly recommended, it is the job of Congress to work out the details regarding their implementation. Sending Patriots
to Congress will insure that special interests will not come before America.
We will help citizens become capable of performing admirably.
We will insure the officially recognized theory of human nature (the one approved by Congress after concluding its exhaustive investigation) is taught in public high schools. The best way to do this is to make such information required reading for high school juniors and seniors (replacing an available slot reserved for elective study). Just as we teach students Earth is round, they (and eventually all Americans) will come to understand the one correct view of human nature and all its ramifications.
Note: What other information could be more important than understanding human nature? This information is carefully explained in The Essence of Man (See the "Supplies" link to learn more about this book.)
We will improve America's academic performance, insuring America once again leads the world in education.
We will increase the perceived value of education by endorsing a national program of public service announcements featuring selected celebrities. These national role models will tout the importance of school, learning a valuable trade, and becoming a successful businessperson (just as are professional athletes and entertainers).
Foreign students will not be admitted to American tax-subsidized colleges and universities in preference of American citizens until America is #1 in academic performance in the world.
We will raise scholastic standards at our colleges and universities by eliminating the anonymous writing sample. If a writing sample is to be a requirement for admission to college, its author must be authenticated and the work subjected to a blind review with published guidelines for evaluation approved by Congress (representing the taxpayers the employers).
Note: If some students need help to qualify for college (for whatever reason), we must focus resources to correct the problem long before applying to college. We must not reduce academic standards to hide one problem, only to create others.
We will prepare citizens for personal and national disasters.
We will encourage citizens to plan for their retirement. As such, we will convert Social Security from a savings program to an insurance plan, with benefits paid out based on need rather than entitlement. More specifically, for those under 16 years old, Social Security will no longer be a retirement plan, but an insurance policy to hedge against birth defects, catastrophic illness, debilitating injury, and abject poverty from having failed at the American Dream.
We will advocate better preparedness for citizens in anticipation of a regional or national disaster an eventual certainty.
We will transfer responsibility for sustenance and comfort from government to charitable groups. For example, FEMA would become a "search and rescue" organization, with sustainance provided by charitable organizations such as the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, and the many churches that enjoy tax benefits.
We will encourage everyone to make an emergency plan, and acquire the tools, a means of protection, and food and water for a number of days. (The actual number of days recommended would be determined by Congress upon conducting a study of possible and likely scenarios.)
We will insure Americans understand their nation's form of government and their obligations as citizens.
We will reestablish the forgotten fact that America is a republic not a democracy.
In both forms of government, representatives are elected by majority vote (a democratic process). However, after elections are over, the difference between a republic and a democracy surface. In a democracy, representatives represent the majority opinion. After all, in a democracy, the majority rules. In a republic, representatives represent their district (or State), not the majority. In fact, in a republic, the majority has no more power than the lone individual. As such, unlike in a democracy, minority groups in a republic are not oppressed.
We will encourage citizens to use the proper label. To refer to America as a democracy causes people to expect that America should operate as a democracy rather than as a republic. As such, protest and division become accepted and even expected. In fact, many Americans today believe that protest in the streets is the highest form of patriotism, when just the opposite is true. Protest in the streets is patriotic only in a democracy.
We will teach citizens the importance of becoming self-reliant; being sure that such is emphasized in school.
We will promote the idea that citizens are obligated to be judgmental of their fellow citizens. As part of our need to be self-reliant, every citizen must contribute to the betterment of their community and America. As such, citizens need to encourage each other to make empowering choices with regard to personal behavior that affects society.
We will turn citizens into informed voters.
We will inform citizens there are occasions when our elected representatives and administrators must not tell the truth, especially regarding matters related to national security. Because our enemies are listening, we would have to impeach and remove representatives and administrators from office if they did not fulfill their first duty to protect us from our enemies, both foreign and domestic.
We will educate Americans that, unlike citizens of a democracy, citizens of a republic should vote only if they are informed. It is unpatriotic for citizens of a republic to vote if they are politically ignorant.
We will educate Americans regarding the proper criteria on which to vote. Voting for a candidate or political party based on one issue (being a partisan) is un-American. To be patriotic (and therefore a good citizen), we must vote for candidates who will fortify and preserve America. That ideology emanates from those who espouse Gravity Theory.
We will incorporate a series of educational courses on the public television access channel explaining America's government, the obligations of voters, and the duties of citizens. In this way, Americans will become informed voters, qualifying them to participate as patriotic Americans rather than as uninformed puppets of those who may be enemies of America.
