The following "plank" in the platform is not an empty feel-good statement. It is a promise founded on (a) a new understanding of human nature and (b) an unwavering commitment to restore, fortify and preserve America. Naturally, it is based on one very big assumption — that Patriots gain control of Congress. Although we guarantee results, you must vote for Patriots to turn aspirations into reality.
Secure America's Future
We will balance the budget, pay down the debt, and develop a business plan that puts America on the path to greater heights. We will advocate the two-parent family, reduce taxes, root out fraud and waste, and save Social Security, transforming it into an insurance plan for younger citizens.
Suggested policy measures...
Although the following policy measures are strongly recommended, it is the job of Congress to work out the details regarding their implementation. Sending Patriots
to Congress will insure that special interests will not come before America.
We will be sure America stays on course.
In nature, nothing stays the same. Therefore, we cannot work for America to maintain its strength. We must work to strengthen America every day if we are to avoid getting weaker.
We will write a business plan with 5, 10, and 100-year goals, including the strategies and tactics necessary to achieve them. Upon its approval by Congress and the States, we will publish and broadcast America's business plan so every citizen knows and understands it.
To insure future sessions of Congress do not allow America to wane, we will sponsor an Amendment (similar in spirit to what follows):
"We hereby ordain it is the official goal of this and all future sessions of Congress to insure the blessings of America for our posterity. In keeping with our primary directive, we will pass all necessary laws and provisions, and revoke all government sponsored programs and services that may jeopardize or hinder America's long-term strength and stability."
We will insure America remains solvent.
We will incorporate the correct view of human nature (Gravity Theory) into the design of America's Social Institutions. New programs will not be created nor will alterations to existing programs be approved without testing them against what we now know to be the nature of human beings. By following this guideline (Gravity Theory), we will make policy and design programs that will actually resolve our social problems rather than exacerbate them, saving billions of dollars in the process.
We will work to repeal the Seventeenth Amendment in which Senators will once again be appointed by their respective State legislatures, as opposed to being elected directly by the people. This feature was an important component in the original checks and balances provided by the founders.
Repealing the Seventeenth Amendment will enable Senators to do what is best for America rather than compromise on principle in order to win reelection. Only be repealing the Seventeenth Amendment will we curb Congress of its voracious appetite and predisposition to tax and spend rather than reduce fraud, waste, and expenditures. Without repealing the Seventeenth Amendment, America's debt will continue to grow out of control until America becomes insolvent.
We will take decisive steps to rescue Social Security. However, as a matter of fairness to those who are older, we will honor the present system as is for citizens who are over 60.
Social Security was designed (configured) for a population with a life expectancy of about 67 years. The significant increase in life expectancy over the last few decades (now over 90) insures Social Security will run out of funds. If we don't act now, additional taxes will be necessary to meet financial commitments. Instead, we will advance the retirement age two months for every year under 60 years old (for a maximum delay in payout of 88 months for those who are currently 16 years old). This is not an reasonable plan considering the present expected payout today for each participant is over 200 months greater than when Social Security was originally designed. Moreover, in consideration of the increased quality of life we enjoy today due to advancements in technology, medicine, and health care, there simply is no good reason why people should retire when they are 65 years old.
Note: The projected life expectancy and quality of life of those who are 16 years old is much greater than even the increases we enjoy today.
To insure an adequate number of children become assets of society rather than liabilities to it, we will promote marriage with children as the model American family. We will reestablish the two-parent family as the cornerstone of American civilization by taking the following actions.
First, we will officially define marriage as a contractual obligation between a couple and America. In this contract, the couple promises to raise their children in a safe and stable two-parent household until their youngest child becomes an adult.
Second, we will insure continuous best effort by parents (and their children) through the award of a cash bonus for those who complete their contractual obligation of marriage, less any public expenses incurred in the process.
Third, we will grant divorce only when the youngest child becomes 18 years old. If exceptions are to be granted by the courts, partners will need to demonstrate they have met (and will continue to meet) the necessary emotional and financial support for their existing children.
We will maximize America's economic potential.
We will aggressively promote privatization of government.
We will insist on a balanced budget. Spending may only temporarily exceed the budget, and only for unexpected military action (in excess of the allocated budget), disasters out of the ordinary (exceeding the budget allocated for such occasions), and during unexpected major economic downturns.
We will not raise taxes.
We will advocate paying down the debt by limiting growth in spending to half of the increased revenues from expansion in the economy. Department heads can free up additional dollars by finding ways to cut overhead and waste (just as is done in the private sector).
We will reduce waste and fraud in government programs (including Welfare, Medicaid, and Medicare) by hiring claims adjustors. They and employees of service providers will receive bonuses for uncovering fraud and waste.
We will advocate paying federal workers on an index, based on the nation's economic performance versus expenditures (surplus/deficit). A similar plan will be encouraged at the local level, tying government employees to the performance of their respective communities.
We will expose and discourage policies leading to socialism and a "Shared Wealth Economy." As such, we will expose unions for what they are. The blame for "shipping jobs overseas" will be placed on unions and Congress for artificially overpricing labor in America. Both practices break the "supply versus demand" principle that drives a "Fair Market Economy."
Note: See A More Perfect Union (in the "Supplies" link) for an explanation of these terms and an in-depth understanding of these concepts and solutions.
The extortive power of unions will be tempered with "right to work" legislation, and the opportunity for employers to replace union labor with non-union employees as they become available.
We will put Senators and Representatives on a modest salary (based on the mean average of those they serve) plus a (potential) hefty bonus, based on the effectiveness of Congress. Achieving goals such as balancing the budget, not raising taxes, reducing crime, improving academic performance, and eliminating fraud and waste will determine the size of their bonus.
