Our civilization is crumbling!
Think how much America has changed in just the last few decades. Though we can be proud of our capable military, unmatched economy, technical achievements and advances in science, every social component of our once glorious American culture is deteriorating before our eyes.
The links on the menu to the left provide the evidence that our civilization is crumbling and that America is heading for disaster. Like a train racing toward a cliff, maintaining our present course will eventually result in national suicide. Unless we change direction now, America will surely plummet off the edge — if not in our lifetime, in the lifetime of our children.
A simple thought experiment proves the point conclusively. If the national debt keeps growing by a trillion dollars every two years, at some point it will be physically impossible to pay the interest. What will happen then?
On Septemeber 11, 2001, we lost close to 3,000 of our friends, neighbors and relatives. They were good people — productive and hard at work. They died a needless horrible death, and each left grieving family members and friends. We should never forget them or that fateful day.
September 11 was instructive as well as tragic. The Twin Towers were special among buildings. They were innovative in design and majestic in appearance, reaching heights far above the others.
Having withstood an attack 10 years earlier, it seemed that the Towers would stand forever. Even after the planes ripped through the upper floors and smoke and flames bellowed out of the windows, few imagined that the Towers were in serious trouble. Still, the moment those planes could not be turned from the buildings, the fate of the Towers was sealed — their demise certain.
Though they absorbed the impact and stood defiantly that September morn, the Towers were mortally wounded. With no way to save them, all we could do is watch their magnificence turn to rubble as they collapsed and crumbled before our eyes.
